Meet the Collective: Justine Feret
Justine is one of those people who says yes first and figures the rest out later, and somehow, it works.
A 28-year-old French creative based in Paris, she’s built her life around curiosity, community, and actually doing the things most people just talk about. What started as a personal skydiving dare quickly turned into something much bigger, a full-blown obsession and one of the most collective, life-affirming experiences she’s had.
We were introduced to Justine at Vector Festival in 2024 (thanks, Domi), and she’s been part of the team ever since, now running VF’s social media, keeping us on trend, and, importantly, making us laugh.
She brings a fresh, instinctive approach to social, less about following rules, more about understanding people and the feeling behind the content.
Let’s get into it.
What’s something you do differently to most people in your role?
I can’t help myself writing captions that roast. It’s never mean, just self-aware, the kind of humour that makes a community laugh at itself in the best way.
What’s your process when you’re stuck creatively?
I go looking for the feeling I’m trying to describe. I try to understand the people and experience the thing I want to write about, almost like reverse engineering the emotion before creating anything around it.
What’s one small thing brands could do better that would make a big difference?
Focus on deepening the bond with the audience you already have before trying to reach new people. The most powerful thing a brand can have is a community that talks about them when they’re not in the room.
What makes you stop scrolling?
Something specific. It could be a creative font or a certain light in the sky. Generic content disappears, specific stays.
What’s a small moment in your day you genuinely love?
The peaceful minutes right after sunset, when everything goes quiet and people are still a little speechless. That collective pause makes any day feel special. It’s my daily gratitude reminder.
What’s your version of a perfect day (no work allowed)?
Friends, a never-ending sunset, and not having to choose between skydiving, freediving, and ski touring. Also, Northern Lights so intense you could see them from anywhere in Europe. I’m actively working on making this a random Saturday.
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with?
The sky turning into different colours. Sunset is both my favourite time of day and my favourite colour. I will drop everything to stare at a pink cloud.
What’s a random skill you have that no one would expect?
I have an almost supernatural ability to be in completely different places within days. Paris on Monday, a dropzone in the south on Wednesday, somewhere in the mountains by Friday. Still figuring out if it’s a skill or a personality trait.
What would your warning label be?
Main quest may be temporarily abandoned in favour of an extremely compelling side quest. Estimated return unknown, but updates will be sent.
What’s something you care about way more than you should?
Finding the exact beat sync for a video edit or agonising over the perfect song for a post. Spending way too long on both… for an audience that’s probably scrolling on mute.
